About the Role

As a Back-End Developer at Verne Health, you will play a vital role in shaping and optimizing our software solutions. You’ll work on building robust, scalable systems and collaborate closely with front-end developers, product managers, and external partners.

This full-time role is hybrid, with flexible remote work options and an office in Amersfoort.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain APIs and back-end functionalities using Laravel.
• Optimize databases and application performance with MySQL.
• Collaborate with front-end teams to create seamless user experiences.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in production environments.
• Participate in architectural decisions and conduct code reviews.
• Document technical processes and solutions.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a dedicated Back-End Developer with a strong passion for technology and healthcare.

Must-Have Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in back-end development.
• Proficiency in Laravel, MySQL, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
• Experience in building and maintaining RESTful APIs.
• Understanding of front-end principles and collaboration with front-end teams.
• Familiarity with tools like Git, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar deployment tools.
• Interest in or experience within the healthcare sector.
